Steve works with Richardsport Sport on various Sporting projects through his Consultancy The Thread.

Steve spent several years in Asia, helping to develop football across the continent with the Asian Football Confederation, before moving to his native Manchester to head up the city’s major sports events programme. That programme saw the city host numerous world championships, UEFA finals and enabled Usain Bolt to break a world record on one of the city centre’s busiest high streets.

More recently, Steve spent a number of years as a director of the GB Taekwondo Olympic programme, which enjoyed multi-medal success at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.

Through his consultancy, The-Thread, Steve’s focus is now on assisting talented and elite athletes and players with their personal development and with planning for a life outside of sport. Steve has worked with Olympic and Paralympic athletes as well as academy footballers and professional rugby players to support them in being better people, on and off the field of play.
